As Christians we are constantly being attacked. Everyday we go through theses invisible battles that could have two different outcomes. One could be that you fully trust God to fight for you, and to protect you. The most common outcome is when you try to take the matter into your own hands and end up falling to the ground. The devil is constantly looking for ways to distract us and to per vent us from reaching our heavenly father.
How close to God are you? How close do you think you are?
Take a moment and imagine that our loving and heavenly father is in his house at the top of this huge mountain. Hail and very heavy rain is always falling outside along with it being very cold. Now, imagine you. For most of us we think of ourselves to be close to God. Yet, we are still trying to control and fight the battles of everyday life. You might think you are close to Him, but in reality you are somewhere on the mountain getting hit by all that is around you. The devil will also tempt you to go with him to a nearby cave. He’ll promise that you’ll be safe there. Then as you enter the cave it collapses on top of you. You find yourself crying out to your father for help, and he will send it. It might be a person who God brings into your path. It could be when you ask for forgiveness. What ever the circumstance, God will forgive you and pick you back up.
